Our Gau Shala established on 31st March 2014 (Yugadi Padya) in Kaggod village, Vijayapura Taluk, under Shri Siddeshwar Samsthe in the name of Shri Ramangouda B. Patil (Yatnal) with the noble mission of protecting indigenous cow breeds and preserving the continuity of desi cows. Over the past 11 years, it has grown into a thriving sanctuary, providing safe and nurturing care to over 1,200 cows.

Our mission is multi-dimensional, centered on the protection and welfare of cows, the preservation of indigenous desi cow breeds and sustainable living practices. We provide safe refuge to cows from financially struggling farmers ensuring compassionate care and lifelong protection. We actively prioritize the conservation and development of native cow breeds. In harmony with Gau Seva, we produce a wide range of organic, Gau based products including milk, curd, buttermilk, ghee, gomutra, Vibhuti and other natural products that support human health, improve soil fertility and contribute to environmental balance. Every product is prepared using traditional, sustainable, and chemical free methods.

We actively contribute to rural livelihoods and youth empowerment by providing hands on training in Gau based product preparation, creating opportunities for self employment and fostering self reliance among farmers and unemployed youth. Each day, over more than 100 farmers, Gau Sevaks and visitors come to our Gau Shala, gaining practical knowledge and awareness about the importance of cow protection and desi cow breeds.
